ICYMI: America’s Got Talent Golden Buzzer Pressed!
You’ve probably seen some of the news about America’s Got Talent and its first Golden Buzzer recipient.
Kodi Lee, a 22-year-old who is blind and autistic, wowed the judges and millions of people at home. He performed A Song for You by Donny Hathaway.
At the time of writing, the official video has more than 24 million views on Youtube.
Lee, who comes from California, is being sent to the semi-finals thanks to judge Gabrielle Union. She pressed the first Golden Buzzer – and her first one ever – and rushed up to the stage to meet Kodi.
According to his official website, Kodi Lee was born with optic nerve hypoplasia. His first surgery was five days after his birth and has relied on assistance his entire life. Linking arms with his mother, Lee seemed unphased by the audience. In fact, he seemed to shine from it.
