If you have ever dreamt of staying in Versailles, one of the most magnificent palaces in the world, your dream was far from becoming a reality until now. This is due to the incredible project by French luxury hotel company Airelles who have plans to open a luxury hotel in spring 2020 at the Château Versailles.

Every inch of this palace is opulent, grand and absolutely pristine. Dating back to the 17th-century reign of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, the palace is known for its French baroque architecture, gilded gold vaulted ceilings, immaculate gardens and of course the Petit Trianon located within the park; the small rustic Hameau (Hamlet) created for Marie Antoinette. A site full of rich heritage and history, it attracts over 7 million visitors per year and you could be one of the fortunate ones and get the royal treatment.

The french hotel group have gone all out and partnered with famous french chef Alan Ducasse to create a luxury 14-room hotel and fine dining restaurant in converted 17th- and 18th-century buildings on the palace grounds. They promise it to be an experience that offers exclusive access into the spectacular Palace of Versailles.

The project is being led by architect and interior designer Christophe Tollemer and will pay homage to the palace’s 18th century style. The hotel will boast views of the vibrant orangery and the magnificent lake Pièce d’Eau des Suisses. This one-of-a-kind hotel has been in the works for some time and only recently has it come to fruition. While hotel rates haven’t yet been disclosed, the hotel is set to open in spring 2020.

Expectations are high and the hotel will also feature a spa, wellness center, indoor swimming pool, along with an Alain Ducasse restaurant where they will be sure to follow in the royal footsteps of Marie Antoinette and declare, let them eat cake!
