Tom made Katie have a chaperone

During Tom’s marriage to Katie Holmes, it was reported that the actor had a Scientology chaperone follow his wife around at all times. Named as Jessica Rodriguez, a long-time, high-ranking member of Sea Org, Jessica was initially considered an assistant, but this was quickly stepped up and she was spotted at all of Katie’s public appearances when she began dating Tom.

At an interview with W Magazine, Rodriguez was there for the whole thing and when asked about her role, she said that her and Holmes were “just best friends” despite only knowing the actress for six weeks.
