The Scientology promotional video showed Tom passionately expressing sentiments and ideology from the Church, but his manic rambling, intense eye contact followed by a forced laughter made everyone question the actors’ mental state. The video was leaked everywhere online and generated millions of views within days.

It turned out to be a PR disaster for the Church who scrambled to get it taken down, but their efforts backfired and this generated even more widespread discussion about it. Considering the Church actively tries to keep their business out of the public eye, this was one of the worst videos to leak about their main man, Cruise.
