When it comes to pregnancy, everyone has their own way of doing things, but Tom Cruise took it to new levels when it came to Katie Holmes’ pregnancy. Tom revealed that they would be monitoring her pregnancy from the comfort of their own home and had plans to purchase a sonogram machine to have ultrasounds whenever they wanted.

Certified technicians should be the only ones to carry out sonograms and too much exposure to it could cause harm to the fetus. While Cruise insisted he would donate the machine to a hospital after Suri was born, California later passed a law in 2006, known as the “Tom Cruise law” which “prohibits the sale of diagnostic ultrasound to anyone but appropriately licensed clinicians.”
