In 2008, a leaked video surfaced on Gawker of Tom’s Scientology indoctrination. Among other outlandish claims, Tom insisted that only Scientologists could create happiness and fix the world.

He also claimed that people within the religion were the only ones who could help people who get into car accidents, saying “When you’re a Scientologist, and you drive by an accident, you know you have to do something about it, because you know you’re the only one who can really help… We are the way to happiness.” People were shocked at his comments.
