Tom Cruise was blindsided by Katie’s decision to divorce him and it was said that the main reason for the divorce was to do with their young daughter, Suri. While Katie has kept quiet about their five-and-a-half year marriage and what went wrong, many sources explained that she feared for the safety of Suri and how Tom insisted that his daughter become a part of the Church.

In the divorce settlement, Katie got full custody of Suri with Tom granted visitation rights. Years after the divorce, Tom is said to barely see Suri and apparently he does not approve of her not being a Scientologist.
