In the last decade, actors movie quotas have gone through the roof, but we have seen in previous years that some of the best performances came from actors who took pay cuts in movies.

This was the case for De Niro as well and his Oscar nominated performance in the 1976 movie Taxi Driver earned him a salary of just $35,000. This is in direct contrast to his salary for his role as Jack in the 2010 film Meet The Fockers where he earned a whopping $20 million.
