24. Cream

This British band formed way back in 1966 – in the peak of Rock and Roll. It describes itself as being ‘phychedelic rock’ and ‘acid rock’. Even though they were only together for two years, the band was largely described as the world’s first ‘superband’.

Some of Cream’s biggest hits include I Feel Free, Sunshine of Your Love, and White Room. Cream briefly reunited in 1993 for a reunion, and then again in 2005. Its most famous member, Eric Clapton, is still performing today.
