Deep Purple has been going pretty strong for 51 years, with the exception of a brief hiatus between 1976-1984. They’ve often been credited as a pioneer in heavy metal and modern hard rock music.

Classic hits include Smoke on the Water, Child In Time, and Highway Star. Deep Purple is currently undergoing a ‘Long Goodbye Tour’ which is running from 2017-2019. It is expected they will finally retire once they finish it later this year. Are you a fan of the band?
