Kit Harington, the star of HBO’s wildly popular Game of Thrones, has entered rehab.

The actor, 32, who portrayed heartthrob Jon Snow for all eight seasons, is being treated for stress, exhaustion, and alcohol use.

Harington went from an unknown to one of the biggest stars in the world when Game of Thrones premiered in 2011. Since then, millions of fans around the world have been following the antics of his character, Jon Snow.

The show came to its controversial end this month. It is reported that more than 19 million watched the final episode.

Snow’s actions in the last few episodes irked some fans, with many people finding the last episode unsatisfying.

Kit Harington, who married co-star Rose Leslie in 2018, has previously spoken about the problems of fame and the stress it can cause. He has called the uncontrollable fame he acquired ‘terrifying’.

“Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues,” an official statement read.

“I felt I had to feel that I was the most fortunate person in the world when actually, I felt very vulnerable. I had a shaky time in my life around there – like I think a lot of people do in their 20s,” he shared in an interview with Variety in March.
