In the 50s and 60s, Brigitte Bardot was considered the most beautiful woman and every man was in love with her, including John Lennon. Lennon’s love for Bardot became almost an obsession and he went so far as to force his girlfriends to look and dress like her.

This culminated in making his wife, Cynthia Powell to dye her hair blonde and wear black eye-make up. When Cynthia cut her hair and no longer resembled Bardot, Lennon refused to speak to her for two days.
