All You Need Is Love…And These Facts About John Lennon
John Lennon was investigated by the FBI
After gathering over 300 pages of information on John Lennon, the FBI had kept him under surveillance and tried to deport him because of his political activism. During the Vietnam war, Lennon became increasingly involved in the peace moment and developed friendships with radicals including Jerry Rubin and Bobby Seale.
It wasn’t until the 1990s that the extent of the surveillance of John Lennon was discovered. When Lennon got his green card in 1976 it was a huge victory over the government.
