In Kevin’s suite at The Plaza hotel in New York, everything was kept pretty much the same as when guests would check-in. However, one thing that was changed was the removal of the carpet in The Plaza lobby.

Production needed the floors to be bare so that Kevin could slide across it in one scene. When then-owner of the hotel, Donald Trump, saw the changes made to the lobby, he loved the aesthetic so much that he never put the carpet back.
