How Cedric got his name

Saturday Night Live comedian and actor Rob Schneider was never supposed to have a name in Home Alone 2. Schneider played the bellhop at The Plaza Hotel and grew increasingly frustrated with Kevin for not tipping him.

The name Cedric only came about when a name tag from The Plaza was found by someone on the production team and gave it to Schneider to wear. At this point, Schneiders character was given a name and he ended up keeping the name tag.
