8. Gene Hackman

Gene Hackman is a distinguished actor, and is a Hollywood legend. He started acting five years after leaving the Marine Corps, back in the ‘50s, and has a body of work spanning over six decades. He has won two Academy Awards – one in 1971 for the movie The French Connection, and also in 1993 for his role in Clint Eastwood’s Unforgiven

We saw him play Lex Luther opposite a very handsome and young Christopher Reeve (who starred as Superman) and many other roles. He hasn’t acted since 2004 though, but has narrated two history documentaries. He is also a published author of five books taking place in different historical eras.
