Squeamish people may not like the sound of this: many artifacts can be found in human and animal poop! In some instances, scientists found droppings of animals that contained human weapons like small spears and darts.

While it sounds gross (and uncomfortable!), it’s actually very informative. These droppings can tell us a lot about how these creatures moved around. If weapons were found hundreds of miles from human remains, we can understand the migration of animals better.
