All is fair in love and war – at least, that’s what they say. During WWII, many soldiers would take battles up to the mountains so their opponent would have a hard time attacking them. Both sides believed they have the best equipment to protect themselves from the frozen cold.

This arms and battle race ended badly for almost everyone involved. Interestingly, some of the human and army remains still rest atop the Alps frozen in ice. Historians are still learning about the war to this day.
