Heiroglyphics was the formal writing system used in ancient Egypt, combining logographic, syllabic and alphabetic elements, often found on Egyptian monuments. From this, people often relate hieroglyphics with the pyramids, but it turns out that there are no hieroglyphics visible in them.

It wasn’t until recently in 2011 that researchers sent a special robot into a secret chamber of the pyramids, where all the hieroglyphics were found. However, this chamber is out of bounds for visitors and cannot be seen on a tour.
