Despite having Australia in its name, this is a misconception and it was actually bred in the United States many years ago. They are very outdoorsy dogs and need a lot of exercise and attention.

They are not a dog that wants to sit at home and sleep and their owners must have spare time to keep them occupied. If these dogs become restless they can take it out on your home and proceed to break and destroy things.
