Catahoula Leopard Dog

The catahoula leopard dog is Louisiana’s state dog and is named after the Catahoula Parish in the state. Unlike other dogs, this breed have webbed feet, making them great swimmers and good hunters in marshes.

In most of these dogs, they have spotted coats, but there are some that have no spots at all. Unfortunately, this breed have a high chance of being born blind, deaf or both. They tend to be quite aggressive to dogs they don’t know but this can be changed with training.
