Geena Davis
Geena Davis spent the earlier part of her life appearing in films such as Thelma and Louise and Stuart Little. However, after many years of facing public spotlight, she decided to try her hand at something else entirely: activism.
Davis realized that women only appeared in 17 percent of crowd scenes in cinema – a shocking figure. She founded the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media in 2006 and is determined to set the gender equilibrium back into place.
