Actor Robert Pattinson first made waves by playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, his career really took off when he starred as the vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise, making him one of the world's highest-paid stars. While Pattinson may have played a vampire, he has an ancestor who helped inspire the vampire myth. He is a distant relative to Vlad the Impaler, who is the inspiration behind Bram Stoker's Dracula.
