Towards the end of the film, we see Marty sneak the warning note into Doc’s jacket explaining how he will get shot in 1985. The camera focuses on the foreground – but did you see what was happening in the background?

It seems that the boys never got the appropriate permit to work on the clock tower to gain the 1.21 jigawatts of electricity needed! In the background, we can see Doc bribe a police officer to let them continue their project.
