Hugo Weaving only appeared in one MCU film – Captain America: The First Avenger. As far as early villains go, Weaving was one of the more compelling characters in the early years of the MCU. Unfortunately, he was blasted into space and his fate was left unknown for years.

Fans finally found out what happened to the Red Skull in 2018’s Infinity War, but Hugo Weaving was not to thank for that. It turns out someone else will continue to play the role of the Marvel villain, with Weaving bowing out for good.
