These ants prove yet again that size doesn’t matter. Each year, these little guys get up to killing around 50 people. And you won’t want to know how. If threatened, they engage in swarming attacks that cause victims to go into shock, both physically and mentally.

It’s certainly strength in numbers for these guys. While one may not cause a problem, you don’t want to be attacked by hundreds (or even thousands!). Most likely they’re just protecting the Queen.
