This is definitely one of the strangest animals on our list. The enigmatic duck-billed Platypus is one of the only mammals that evolved with the ability to produce venom. It might not look like much, but be warned: these folks can cause some serious damage.

Platypi have the ability to shoot out toxins from their back limbs – weirdly, this only occurs in certain seasons. With its oddly adorable look, you wouldn’t think this fuzzy mammal can kill pets and cause some serious damage to humans. That’s its best trick of all!
