It turns out, Harrison Ford tried to get Han Solo killed for 30 years. His first request was in 1983 during Return of the Jedi, but director George Lucas refused to do it.

In 2015’s The Force Awakens, Ford finally got his wish and Kylo Ren killed Han Solo. Today, he believes his death makes a better film, but we can’t help but wonder what would have happened had he survived into the trilogy. Two years later, another key player in the Star Wars universe died – Luke Skywalker.
