NBC had a few names for this soap opera. It was called Somerset, as well as Another World in Somerset, and Another World: Somerset. It ran from the 30th of March, 1970, until the 31st of December, 1976. It was a spin-off of NBC’s hit soap opera Another World.

The cast starred Sigourney Weaver as Avis Ryan, Audrey Landers, JoBeth Williams, Ted Danson, Joel Crothers, and more. In the beginning, the show was centered around three popular characters from Another World, namely Sam Lucas, Missy Palmer Matthews, and Lahoma Vane Lucas. It was an interesting soap opera that dealt with heavy storylines like the Mafia, and serious crime, making it rather interesting indeed. After the final episode aired a special message followed thanking the viewers for watching the show the past few years, and wishing them all a happy New Year.
