ABC’s The City starred the very beautiful Morgan Fairchild, Jane Elliot, Debbi Morgan, Roscoe Born, Catherine Hickland, Joseph Sirola, and Jennifer Esposito, among others. It ran from the 13th of November, 1995, to the 28th of March, 1997.

The story lines in the soapie were quite original and modern, including a daring story around a transsexual. The characters that appeared in the beginning of the show were the survivors from the serial killer from the successful soap opera Loving. The City won two Daytime Emmy Awards but never really did extremely well with ratings and viewership. Well-known actress Morgan Fairchild only stayed on the soap opera for one year, as that was per her contract. She was then replaced with actress Jane Elliot.
