32. Port Charles

ABC’s Port Charles starred Michael Easton, Kelly Monaco, Kimberlin Brown Pelzer, and more. The first episode aired June the 1st, 1997 and the last aired October the 3rd, 2003. It was a spin-off of the highly popular and successful General Hospital. Everything occurred in a fictional city called Port Charles, in New York.

There were certain recognizable characters from General Hospital, such as Kevin Collins, Lucy Coe, Scott Baldwin, and Karen Wexler, as well as the addition of new characters. They all interned in a medical school program that was highly competitive. There were themes of a medical nature, but towards the end the show, thrilling supernatural storylines appeared. The soapie was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2003. Although it was nominated for this, the show never did incredibly well with viewers, and never had the enormous success that General Hospital had achieved.
